Is the basket salvagable? Or totally destroyed?
We can use the practice basket on 16 for the time being if it's in bad shape. We've had some real close calls with trees and baskets there over the years, it was only a matter of time before one of those wooden bastards hit his mark! If a tree smashes a basket and no-one is around to see it, does it count as an ace? Late- |

someone needs to post a picture of this phenomenon! This must have happened this week during the heavy rains. I played on saturday morning and all baskets were accounted for. I loved the short pins! Except the Wind was a deadly factor on 10....

I'll try and get a pic this afternoon.
I talked with the Lehigh County Parks Dept this morning, and they are aware of the downed tree and #16's basket "making babies." He told me they(Lehigh County parks) has a LOT of trees down form Tuesdays storm, but the one on #16 at Jordan Creek Park is at or near the top of the list to be cut up and removed. FYI-Lehigh County Parks has many, many parks. Jordan Creek is just one little tiny park when compared. Nice to see that they have their priorities straight. Late- |

Basket and chain assembly look fine, pole is mangled and the number plate is a little bent. Should be salvageable(sp).

Wow!! I guess the bolts that held the chains and basket just sheared off with the force of the tree. I can't believe it went through the tree!! Take that Mother Nature!!
