To all concerned-

In my humble but correct opinion, this contentious issue can be boiled down to one factor. Disc Golfers in Central and Western PA know they cannot compete against Eastern PA talent. Jeff, contrary to popular belief, is a big softy and has always favored the underdog. So give him a break, he just wants to offer someone other than an LVDC member the opportunity to represent PA in the USDGC.

Unfortunately for our Western PA counterparts, it only takes one LVDC disc golfer four or so hours of drive time to steal their hearts and dreams of victory.

Glad I could help put things in perspective, Horrible Pete

p.s. I don't understand why anyone would want to go to the USDGC and get smoked by a horde of legitimate Open players anyway.

I think this is beaurocratic B.S. Eastern Pennsylvania should host the event, especially since we account for the majority of the talent in the event anyway. Western PA is nice, although what is the point of going if you're not going to Moraine State Park. Event sanctioning has nothing to do with golfer ability, and also the lehigh Valley certainly has greater sponsorship potential than little old Indiana, regardless of the past. I think they are scared to play in such a nice area with so much talent, but thats just the thoughts of an amateur.

I would ask everyone to re-read this thread and note how disappointed both executive members of the LVDC as well as locals in the Lehigh Valley area were with not receiving the 2008 PA States bid. Also specifcially note my promise to give the LVDC top consideration for 2009.

The question then begs to be asked, why did the LVDC decide *not* to hold the event next year?!?

If you are upset that the 2009 PA States is not being held right here in the Lehigh Valley, then I urge you to contact your LVDC officers and express your frustration. Because they had it if they wanted it.

Maybe because we want to have it in 2010 when Knocky is 18 holes, it could be by 2009 but unlikely. Then we could show off 4 world class courses and blow people away with our improvements.

I like the 6th message or so, Jeff prefaced it with "i would like to address the following and then put this behind us" yet it still drags on, into 2008 no less, with this same individual going through archives to drag back this thread.

Wow.

Just incase anyone from other boards is coming over via the bearclaws site.

Jeff seems to be making a big to-do over the fact that no-one e-mailed him back regarding states. Thats his whole beef for this whole thing: no one e-mailed him. Yep, thats it. thats the whole beef. So while hes going around from site to site saying he has nothing to do with all this drama (that only seems to happen when HE shows up), all because i did not have access to my e-mail for a couple of days, sorry jeff but this is beyond pathetic.

One simple exchange, that took all of 30 seconds, that could have come from either Jason, Ray or Robin at any point and avoided this entire soap opera.

The fact that YOU would rather create a soap opera on a public forum instead of simply picking up a phone is rediculous, and quite frankly embarassing to our State and Professional Organization.
