If it weren't for the great job our marketing director is doing, our National Tour wouldn't be anywhere near where it is today. There wouldn't be nearly the number of corporate sponsors kicking in major dough, and hotel & car companies give nationwide discounts. There wouldn't be ESPN editors on hand at NT events.

I was at both the 2009 World Championships in Kansas City with nearly 1,000 competitors and the Vibram Open in Massachusetts and I didn't hear of anybody talking about the swim club incident. In today's ADD society, it's ancient history. And more importantly, most people seem to have seen through it for what it was: a particularly lame attempt by the media to create shock value and a sensationalized story where there was none.
