yeah but it was pretty tough if you toss any in the trees. I lost 2 today. i had a blast though and definitely worth the $10. I hope to make it up there at least 2 more times this year. My knees are hurting from all the downhill walking. My round took 3 hours.

yeah there were alot of backups on the tees so our round took over 3 hours. i know what you mean about the knees hurting but i drove back to allentown and played 2 more rounds there . i will most likely not be able to get outta bed for awhile tomorrow morning.

Me and Ben where the 3rd group on the tees and it took us almost 4 hours. The wait and the 10 bucks was worth it!!! I lost 3 disc and ben lost 1, but 2 of mine went in the thorns so I didn't even look for it.

This is by far the best course I've played and would definitely pay 10 bucks to play this again. There is some sick and crazy holes here. I had a blast and I'm glad I got to play this course before my surgery on my throwing arm.

Overall it sounds like everyone had a great time.
Did anyone happen to take some pics of the course?
Was there any rumors about it being open once more before the September open date?

The course will DEFINITELY not be open again until Saturday Sep. 12th. While I was at registration, several disc golfers asked management about accessing the course off the Appalachian Trail or walking up from mid-mountain to play the course and they were adamant about people not being there when the mountain is not open nor patrolled. They did a sweep of the mountain at the end of the day on Saturday just as they do during ski season, and it is a safety and liability risk to have people out there when they don't know about it. They will likely arrest you for trespassing if they catch you out there.

Ron,

Thanks so much for posting those pics and the review.

FYI, per dicussion with course designer Dan Doyle on 8/8/09, hole#18 has been changed to a pro par 5 from the long tee. I have updated the info on DGCR, and the official Blue Mountain scorecards will also get updated eventually.

Adventure Saturdays start after Labor Day, on Saturday September 12th.

Beginning September 12th, Blue Mountain will be open every Saturday* for Disc Golf through October 31st. (*excluding October 10th, when the mountain is closed for a private event)

Remember, Disc Golf Course fees are $10 for the “Skyline Park” Peak Course. This gives you unlimited lift rides during lift access hours.

However, lift access only runs from 10 am until 3 pm. And with the course taking 3 or more hours to play, if you get on the lift much past high noon you will probably not make the last chair up for another round at 3 PM. If you are planning on playing two rounds it would probably be wise to arrive in the morning.

Please bring discs you don't mind losing, and play the tees and baskets appropriate to your ability. Unless you are an Advanced or Pro-level golfer, you should refrain from playing the longer blue tees & pin positions!
